100 years ago, on the steep slopes of Kings Mountain, coated in a mist of hazy rain, six men while attempting to flee to safety tragical met their fate in an encounter that would reverberate in headlines around the globe.
The is the story of the Sligo Noble Six, the counties tragic Irish Civil war story. Join our guides and follow the footsteps of four of the men while you learn about the event and how confusing at the time led to many variations of the facts surrounding the faithful morning. Now marked in history with a memorial cross erected on the site of the tragedy we pause here
Following the Nobel Six visit our guides will lead you higher to reach our summit for the day boasting spectacular views over Glencar and Sligo Town. This corner of the mountain range hides some of Sligos most amazing sites like Kings Gully, Balcony Cave and Annach Re Mhor, a huge fissure cut deep into the mountain that invites you to explore mountain within.
Your day will be packed with historic stories and awe-inspiring views.

Hikers may not be allowed to join group if not dressed appropriately for mountainous terrain.
